Barry Wilson is a Professional Bass Angler who has just finished his 8th season on the FLW (Fishing League Worldwide) Tour. He is a native of Birmingham where he attended Shades Valley and Pelham High Schools. Barry is a former Auburn University running back where he played during Pat Dye’s last years and graduated in 1993. He has maintained a competitive spirit and unwavering determination throughout his life that has carried his passion through his adult years. When not on the water, he enjoys grilling, hunting and just about anything outdoors. As the father of a 20-year old son and 7-year old daughter, keeping humble and out of his comfort zone has become second nature. He hopes that by accepting the Dancing with the Stars of Magic City invitation, it will show his kids and others that it is ok to take chances and to push your limits.
Abby Southerland is the Head Coach for the UAB Golden Girls and teaches at Jackie O’Neal School of Dance, where she teaches close to 100 kids and is over all of the Hip Hop competition companies. At Spain Park High School she was a four-year Varsity dance team member and captain of the Spain Park Dazzlers. At the University of Alabama she was Captain of the nationally ranked Alabama Dance Team. Abby couldn’t give up her love for dance so she started coaching at her alma mater, Spain Park from 2014-2016, and now at UAB. She is in her 4th year coaching the Golden Girls and her 7th year teaching at Jackie O’Neal School of Dance. She is also the Director of Premium Services and Group Sales Manager for the Birmingham Barons, the Chicago White Sox Double-A affiliate team.
