Blake Boland is Senior Director of Regulatory Compliance for Surgical Care Affiliates (SCA), this year's presenting sponsor of Dancing with the Stars of the Magic City. AT SCA for 12 years, Blake assists with ensuring an effective compliance program at SCA's 230+ managed ambulatory surgery centers (ASC) and support services offices across the United States. Prior to SCA, Blake worked for BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee in Chattanooga. Blake graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Finance. A loifelong fan of Auburn, Blake enjoys his Fall Saturdays in Auburn tailgating and supporting his beloved Auburn Tigers! War Eagle! Blake lives in Homewood with his two children--Harper (14) and Henley (11.) He enjoys exercising, golfing and doing home remodel projects. Blake is also involved with Sight Savers of America, an organization to help children with visual impairments secure their eye care needs to be successful in school and life.
Christon Burnette is the owner and artistic director of Haus of Dance in Childersburg, Alabama. He lives in Sylacauga with his fiancé, Jayden Flanagan and their Australian Shepard, Aspen. At the young age of 7, Christon participated in his very dance class and his life changed forever. He went on to be a competitive dancer throughout the rest of his childhood, winning multiple awards along the way. At 19, he started enriching the lives of young people through his love for dance. He’s been a very successful teacher and choreographer for the past seven years. He prides himself on being a sought after national award winning choreographer and teacher. Christon always pushes his students to maximize their upmost, full potential. He has trained under a number of world renowned choreographers and dance educators, molding himself into a well-rounded and seasoned dancer. Christon is trained in ballet, lyrical, clogging, hip-hop, and specializes in jazz, contemporary, and acrobatics. He is passionate about his profession and he is also a life coach and mentor for each of his students. He strives to ensure that each child succeeds not only in dance, but in their education as well. Aside from teaching children how to plié and grand battement... he likes to practice kindness, for he is a firm believer in equality and diversity.
